EvoChip Hungary on the most prestigious Half Marathon of the Middle East

The sixth edition of the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon in the United Arab Emirates saw Kenyan winners in both men's and women's categories on the 17th of February 2012. Runners were prevented by strong south-easterly winds on the course.

It is one of the most prestigious Half Marathon events in the world by being one of the 7 Half Marathon races with IAAF Gold Label.

Dennis Kipruto Koech, an 18-year-old Kenyan in his first race outside his home country eased away from the competition at the 15-kilometer mark to win the event with the time of 1:00:40.

Mary Keitany completed a kenya sweep of the top spots by winning the women's competition, though the London Marathon champion failed to match her world and course-record time from 2011.

Runners from 86 nations participated on the nearly flat RAK circuit including 122 relay teams.

It was especially important that Anikó Kálovics performed this highly accredited race as like last year. She finished 12th place with the time of 1:16:39.

Split timing systems were operated on the 5,10,15 and 20km. Our services also included live internet result sevice, SMS result service, diploma printing.

The official electronic timer of the event was the Premier Timing team from the U.A.E in cooperation with the EvoChip Hungary and the Turkish Depar Timing teams.

The event was timed with Mylaps ChampionChip technology.
