The Hangzhou International Marathon was held on the 6th of November. This race is one of the 10 biggest marathons in China.

The start took 16 minutes which also shows the largeness of the event. The race course is mainly along the picturesque West Lake, Tea Gardens, and Qiantang Scenic Area. It is one of the most beautiful marathon courses in the world.

Except traditional full marathon (42.195 km), and Half marathon (21.0975 km) this year's marathon also included short marathon (13 km), little marathon (6.8 km), family and kids run (1.2 km), and couples run (3.5 km).

Timothy Kibet Chelimo from Kenya won the men's race on the marathon with 2:19:34. while the women's race wsa won by Zhuang Liu from China with 2:44:46.

Competitors could get their own diploma with their names and times on it immediately after the finish. This service was operated with 15 printers for the runners.

The event was timed by the EvoChip Hungary Ltd. together with the Jinling Sports -Chinese timing team with MYLAPS ChampionChip technology.
