The Berlin BMW marathon once again proves to be the world's fastest marathon, with Patrick Makau from Kenya breaking the World Marathon record last month. This means that Haile Gebrselassie lost his 2008 World Record, set in Berlin as well. Makau was 21 second faster, setting the World Record at 2.03.38. The Berlin Marathon was timed by MYLAPS ChampionChip technology.
