World record on the UNIX 48 hours Ultrarunning race

A world record and three national record were set on the UNIX 6 day/ 48 hour Ultrarunning race, which was held in Balatonfüred 4th-10th of May.

The new age-group record was set by an Italian athlete Tiziano Marchesi with the distance of 413,61km under 48 hours. He broke the record of Walter Zimmerman form 1995.

The winner of the women's category was Tuula Ahlholm with 302,62km under 2 days.

The best Hungarian man was Csaba Lajkó with 311,78km. He finished 5th place with this excellent achievement. At the women's race Edit Deák Ferencné finished second place with 163,71km, and Ágnes Fázer Metzgerné finished third place with 134,82km.

The official time of the event was timed with MYLAPS ChampionChip technology, with the help of this several world record have already been certificated.
