More than 930 people took part on the III. Intersport Tour de Lake-Tisza road cycling competition, which was a record in entry number.

Most of the competitors-more than 700- toed the line for the 65km, but the 15km section was choosen by more than 100 people too, while 20 rollerskaters followed the field who performed 57 km. The cyclists were crossing under the starting-gate for almost 6 minutes during the commanded splendid start,-which was situated at Halas Sqare in Tiszafüred-, in order to follow the leading car. The slow start ended at the beginning of Lake-Tisza cycle path, and from there the bunch of the elite competitors left the field.

In the course of the competition the ChampionChip classic system was applied to the timing, and ranking of the competitors, because the huge mass of them needed an easily manageable, and cheap chip. obviously, the picture of a good-quality PhotoFinish camera is essential for the close arriving of elite competitors, as in  the women's category the second and the third competitors were very close to each other in this year too. Fortunately the recording of the camera proved the precision of chip timing unambigously both to the judges, and to the concerned competitors.
